Floyd Mayweather made news when he showed up at a Rizin press conference in Tokyo and made an announcement that he will fight undefeated kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa on New Year’s Eve. When he arrived back to the USA, he said that he never agreed to an official bout with Tenshin Nasukawa.
But recently Floyd Mayweather told TMZ that the fight with undefeated kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa will happen, though it will be an exhibition match with no kicking.
Mayweather said, “We’re gonna make it happen”. Recalling the whole scene, Floyd said, “I went over there, it happened to be a huge press conference. So, then, of course, I didn’t want to throw a lot of my people under the bus. So, I basically told them, this is not gonna work out.” On being asked how much is he getting paid for this fight, Floyd Mayweather said, “It’s gonna be the highest paid exhibition ever.” Floyd said, “People don’t understand. Even when people are like, Floyd fights because he needs money. It’s more like this- Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Oprah, they still go out there and do different things and get paid financially great. Like I’ve said before, I’m far from hurting for money. I got a ton of money.”
