Raul Rosas Jr. and Vince Morales squared off in the much awaited bantamweight match on tonight’s UFC Mexico City main program.
Rosas Jr. (11-1 MMA) came into tonight’s bout having won three straight, most recently defeating Aori Qileng via unanimous decision at UFC 306 in Las Vegas last September. Since entering the UFC in December 2022, “El Niño Problema” had a 4-1 record inside the Octagon.
When Vince Morales (16-10 MMA) steps into the Octagon this evening, he hopes to end a losing streak of two fights. The 34-year-old American had just lost to Taylor Lapilus and Elijah Smith via decision. “Vandetta” had put together a five-fight winning streak before those reverses.
The “Rosas Jr. vs. Morales” fight tonight was a fierce fifteen-minute battle. Using his takedowns and grappling to dominate the fight for ten minutes, Raul Rosas Jr. defeated Vince Morales in the opening two rounds. However, Morales managed to secure many close submission attempts in round three, but sadly, those attempts did not result in a finish. “El Nino Problema” was declared the winner after 15 minutes of play.
Raul Rosas Jr. defeated Vince Morales by unanimous decision (29-28 x3) in the official UFC Mexico City results.
