Former two-division world champion Paulie Malignaggi has signed a promotional contract with Bare Knuckle FC and fight former UFC bantamweight contender Artem Lobov, given the later wins his fight against Jason Knight on 6th April 2019. Paulie will make his debut in June.
The news was first reported by Helen Yee of NBC Sports. Artem Lobov was released by the UFC last month and signed a three-fight deal with Bare Knuckle FC.

Paulie made it to mainstream news back in 2017 when Conor McGregor’s camp released footage of him getting beaten up in a sparring session. According to Paulie, the Irishmen’s camp didn’t release the full footage and he has been gunning for a fight with McGregor ever since.

Meanwhile, the talks of Paulie fighting Lobov isn’t new as the former UFC bantamweight contender called out Malignaggi before on Twitter.

Lobov was 2-5 in the UFC in the past three years. His last three fights were unanimous decision losses to Michael Johnson, Andre Fili and Cub Swanson. Whereas Paulie last stepped inside the ring back in 2017 against Sam Eggington where he got brutally knocked out in the eighth round.
