Former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion of the world Randy Couture suffered a heart attack on Wednesday in Los Angeles. He admitted himself in the hospital and complained about feeling uneasy following his workout at the Unbreakable Performance Center in Hollywood.

TMZ was the first to break the story and according to the latest updates, Couture will be able to make full recovery. His wife Mindy Robinson took to Twitter to give in update on the situation.

Yes, Randy had a heart attack yesterday, it’s an issue with him having naturally but unusually thick blood. We’ve been in the hospital for tests and observation and he is recovering well. He has and always will be…the toughest man I know,” Mindy tweeted out.

Considered by many as one of the greatest fighters to compete in the UFC, Couture was a three-time world champion and was inducted into the hall of fame back in 2006 by the UFC.

He retired from the sport back in 2011 after getting knocked out by Lyoto Machida in the second round at UFC 129 in Toronto, Canada.

Following his retirement, Couture worked in numerous movies and TV shows. He is most known more his works in the Expandables franchise alongside Sylvester Stallone.
