After 34 fights inside the Octagon, Jeremy Stephens was eventually fired by the UFC in 2021 due to a string of losses and unfortunate events. However, the 38-year-old fighter has found his footing in free agency, competing in the PFL and even stepping into the boxing ring against UFC veterans like Jose Aldo, Chris Avila, and Jimmie Rivera.
Jeremy Stephens’ Request To Dana White
Now, Stephens is making a case for another UFC run. In a recent interview on The Jaxxon Podcast, he reached out to UFC president Dana White: “Dana, hit me up, bro. I don’t need a f****** contract. You want to pay me for one fight? Gimme these Jim Miller’s. I won’t say anything about Bobby Green—I love Bobby Green—but he’s still competing. I would love to take out some of these guys. I’m still active.”
Stephens’ resume in the UFC is impressive, having faced the likes of Rafael Dos Anjos, Anthony Pettis, Charles Oliveira, and Max Holloway. Despite his ups and downs, he believes he can still compete at the highest level and deliver savage highlight knockouts.
“I fought these f****** best of the best and I know I can still compete in the UFC with these guys. I know I can still put on savage highlight knockouts,” Stephens added.
While it remains uncertain whether Dana White will grant Stephens’ plea, fans are intrigued by the possibility of seeing the former UFC KO artist back in the Octagon. With plenty of fun matchups in the stacked lightweight division, Stephens could add excitement to the roster once again.
