Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou recently suffered a brutal second round KO loss at the hands of  Anthony Joshua. Though it was a big blow for Ngannou it looks like he has moved on from the loss and is already preparing for his next fight. Though there are no reports of whom he is going to face one thing is sure Francis Ngannou is ready to hit the boxing ring once more.

Francis Ngannou’s Journey From Poverty to UFC Champion

Francis Zavier Ngannou, born on September 5, 1986, in the village of Batié, Cameroon, has a story that defies all odds. Raised in poverty, Ngannou had little formal education and worked in a sand quarry as a child due to financial constraints. Despite being approached by gangs, he chose a different path, using his father’s street-fighting reputation as motivation to pursue boxing.

At age 22, Ngannou began boxing training, but illness forced him to stop. Undeterred, he moved to Paris, France, at 26 to pursue professional boxing. His journey was fraught with challenges, including imprisonment for illegally crossing the border. Yet, he persevered, arriving in Paris with nothing but determination.

Dominance in the UFC

Ngannou’s punching power made him a force to be reckoned with in the UFC’s heavyweight division. He ended seven of his fourteen UFC fights with knockouts in under two minutes of the first round. His rise culminated in winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship, a title he held until his departure from the promotion.

It will be interesting to see who Francis Ngannou will fight next and how long we have to wait to see Ngannou in action again.
