Francis Ngannou made a spectacular return to mixed martial arts (MMA) with a dominant performance at the PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 19, 2024. In his first MMA fight since 2022, Francis Ngannou secured a first-round knockout victory over Renan Ferreira, showcasing his incredible power and skill.

After the fight, Ngannou took to social media to share his reaction with a simple yet powerful message: “We did it again!!” This four-word statement encapsulated his joy and satisfaction with his performance, as well as his triumphant return to the sport he loves.

The victory was especially meaningful for Ngannou, who has faced significant personal challenges over the past year, including the tragic loss of his 15-month-old son, Kobe, in April 2024. Ngannou dedicated his fight to Kobe, stating, “I only took this fight because of him. I went to fight for him.”  His emotional victory was a testament to his resilience and determination to honor his son’s memory.
