Francis Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion, has fired back at UFC CEO Dana White following White’s recent comments suggesting that Ngannou is “all about the money.” White’s remarks came during a Power Slap press conference, where he claimed that Ngannou left the UFC because he knew fighting Jon Jones and losing would hurt his chances of making the money he wanted.
Ngannou, who departed the UFC in January 2023 after failed contract negotiations, has since joined the Professional Fighters League (PFL) and made his promotional debut with a first-round knockout victory over Renan Ferreira. In response to White’s comments, Francis Ngannou expressed his frustration and disbelief, stating that White needs to move on from their long-running rivalry.
Francis Ngannou Responds to Dana White
Ngannou said, “Dana has lost in this situation, and the only thing is that he can’t understand it. I won everything. I left almost two years ago, and the guy is still out there. He can’t live without it. He can’t handle me regardless of everything that happened. I’m not about him. I went out there, did a fight, great fight for my son’s memory. But the guy can’t stand it. I don’t know what his problem is, man. But he can make everything up as he wants. That’s his problem. I think he needs to make peace with himself.”

Francis Ngannou also addressed White’s claims about money, pointing out that he has made more money since leaving the UFC than he ever did during his time with the promotion. He emphasized that even if he wasn’t making as much money, it would be his problem, not White’s. Ngannou further criticized White for not acknowledging their failed negotiations and instead continuing to criticize him publicly
