Francis Ngannou vs Stipe Miocic 2 !!
The heavyweight title fight is the rematch of their first fight. Francis Ngannou and Stipe Miocic fought at UFC 220 in January of 2018. In that fight, Stipe Miocic was able to comfortably outbox and defeated Ngannou.
Stipe Miocic is coming off of a trilogy fight against Daniel Cormier. The pair fought for the first time at UFC 226, where Daniel Cormier was able to knockout Miocic in the first round. The rematch took place a year later at UFC 241 and this time, Miocic retained his heavyweight crown by knocking out Daniel Cormier in the fourth round by a barrage of body shots.
The third fight took place last August at UFC 252 in Las Vegas. This time around, Stipe Miocic managed to take the fight on judges’ scorecards.
On the other hand, Francis Ngannou is coming off of four first-round finishes. His last fight took place against Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 249 last May. In that fight, Ngannou knocked him out in just 20 seconds. Prior to that, he took on former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos and knocked him out in the first round.
This will be UFC’s second PPV for the month of March. The first PPV is being planned for March 6 which will be headlined by a light heavyweight fight between Jan Blachowicz and current middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. The Kiwi will be attempting to become a two-weight world champion by taking on the newly crowned champion from Poland.
