The former UFC champ champ Conor McGregor last fought at UFC 228 against his bitter rival Khabib Nurmagomedov. He lost the fight in a rather brutal fashion after being ragdolled for almost close to 20 minutes by Nurmagomedov, he was then eventually submitted by the Russian in the fourth round of the fight due to a rear-naked choke. Ever since then fans have been wondering when will McGregor fight next. The UFC President Dana White had recently revealed that McGregor will compete in early 2020. Thus, the former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar who had been calling out McGregor for quite a while now has issued another challenge to the Irishman.
Edgar recently took to Twitter and called Mystic Mac out. He stated that he has heard McGregor has been asking to fight him, if that’s true then the answer is always ‘yes’ for a fight on his behalf. Here’s what he had to say:
Hey @TheNotoriousMMA is it true you’ve been asking to fight me? If so, the answer is always yes on my end. Let’s make it happen.
