The UFC Fight Night 139 headliner underwent a major change last day after Frankie Edgar pulled out of the show. Edgar was scheduled to fight ‘Korean Zombie’ Chang Sung Jung in the main event of the fight night.

However, Edgar was forced to withdraw due to an injury. In place of Edgar, Yair Rodriguez will step in for the fight. Rodriguez will be heading into the fight on the back of his defeat against Edgar last year while Jung had defeated Dennis Bermudez in his last fight.

If the fight had happened, it would’ve been the 25th fight of Edgar in the UFC. In his last fight, he had secured a unanimous decision victory over Cub Swanson. The 27-year-old currently boasts a professional record of 23-6-1 to his name while he is 17-6-1 in the UFC.

As for the event, it will take place on November 10 at the Pepsi Center in Denver. Apart from the showdown between the Korean Zombie and Rodriguez, it will also see some exciting fights such as Donald Cerrone vs. Mike Perry, Germaine de Randamie vs. Raquel Pennington, Joseph Benavidez vs. Ray Borg among others.
