Our Friday Fighter this week is Akshata Khadtare. She currently holds an MMA record of 10-4-0 with her last fight coming at GAMMA Singapore. Considered one of the best female fighters in the country, Akshata has represented India at Asian Beach Games. She is also a World MMA bronze medalist and is also a BJJ state and National Champion Gi-NoGi 2017-2018.
Team Relentless coach Jitendra Khare has high regards for Akshata as a fighter and consider her the best Female Amateur fighter in the country and we couldn’t agree more. Akshata is known for her grinding top pressure which makes her opponent wilt under pressure. Majority of her victories have come on foreign soil against quality opponents.
What defines Akshata Khadtare?
Team Relentless coach Jitendra Khare once noted on his Instagram recently before her fight with Rosario Valerian Polos Alfante at Rampage MMA Fighting Championship in Sabah. No cheesy fight names!!!!! No Modelling assignments to her credit!!!! No fancy portfolio shoots!!!!A hunger to keep improving and fighting better competition and the heart to step up and take on the right fights is what defines. Akshata spends her days’ training in a room full of greats and they will all agree that she isn’t one to be taken the least lightly. She will not be denied her place in the growing Indian MMA scene.” he had stated
Most of her impressive and dominant wins have come up against quality opponents internationally and also against tough Indian women fighters like Valentina Brown and Suman Pal. She has headlined two X1 International Women’s fight night events where she completely dominated her opponents from start to finish. She reiterates that women should train in Combat sports and she remains an inspiration to all of us.
Even in India, the sport’s fame has risen drastically. While India has been witnessing men’s Fight Nights for a while, the concept of women-only cards has only recently just begun. We truly believe that only Akshata can stop Akshata from being one of the best female fighters to come out of India. She has the skills, the dedication and the attitude to be a world champion.
From taking up MMA as a hobby to lose weight to becoming one of the country’s top female Mixed Martial Artist, what a journey it has been for the young Akshata Khadtare. We are excited to see her journey ahead. The MMA India Show wishes her all the best in her journey ahead.
