Our Friday Fighter this week is the young and talented upcoming MMA Fighter from Assam Punyajit Likharu, fighting out of Bali MMA, Indonesia. He recently made his Pro MMA debut at Matrix Fight Night 3 where he won by an impressive unanimous decision. He fought a technical fight and impressed everyone with his all round skills. He showed his superior ground game with some smart striking against Mayank Kohli.
“10 year ago I was introduced to the world of Martial Arts by my parents. I still remember being very competitive as a kid and what started mainly for fitness and self defense by my parents, for me it turned into passion for competition . I won the Nationals in taekwondo then, which soon stopped for different reasons . After 10 year of staying away from fighting . With lot of lows and ups in life , little did I know then, i would finally be doing what i always wanted as a kid . At 21 I got into the world of fighting again.” Punyajit Likharu talked about how he started his MMA journey in one his social media posts.
