Last night at the Matrix Fight Night 9 in the super match between Seth Rosario and Zahoor Shah, there was an unruly mob attack cage-side immediately after the fight. Seth Rosario had defeated Zahoor Shah via TKO in Round 1.
The unruly crowd got aggressive because it seemed like the first round had gone longer than the allotted five minutes as Seth Rosario scored a late TKO in the first round. While during the stream, it did seem like the timer had gone past first round, but now Pushkaraj Shirke has clarified on this matter on Instagram.

“The official Time was paused for 29 seconds because of warnings and point deductions to Zahur, the stoppage was perfectly within the official time, the overhead screen time didn’t stop when the official clock was paused – which gave people in the audience the impression that the officials stopped after the 5 mins mark. The referee Daniel Isaac stopped the Zahur Shah fight twice in the first round: first to warn him ( 15 seconds) and second time to deduct a point( 14 seconds), the total stopped time was 29 seconds and the official clock was stopped for these warnings, when the ref finally stopped the fight in favor of Seth it was 4:36 of round # 1. Zahur was given a clean 10 seconds to make a come back, but Seth just overwhelmed him absolutely and it had to be stopped – giving Seth the win, fair n square,” he said.
Ayesha Shroff of Matrix Fight Night further clarified that going forward no Afghan fighter will feature on the MFN card again.
