The rumblings were apparent for some time. Mousasi had been talking about his worth.
Rumours came via Chamatkar Sandhu then earlier today about Gegard possibly close to signing a deal with Bellator.
And then the confirmation. The No.4 ranked middleweight in the UFC had signed and moved to Bellator where his ex boss from Strikeforce, Scott Coker, reigns .
Where did things go so wrong between the Iranian-Dutchman Gegard and the UFC ? Apparently they didn’t think he was a big enough draw and so didn’t offer him the kind of money he was expecting. This…after in his last fight he had a win…no matter how controversial, over Chris Weidman.
The UFC seem oblivious to the large fan support Gegard has built since his ‘coming out’ at the post fight press con at UFC 204.
The fans will be watching him.
