George St Pierre yesterday sent out a,shall we call it a re-call out,to Michael Bisping and Dana White via taxt message, since these two were earlier scheduled to fight at UFC 213 itself but GSP wanted time til the autumn citing an eye injury whereas Dana White wanted it done in the summer itself.
As first reported by Ariel Helwani on twitter, the text messages basically said “Michael, you should man up and fight me 11/4 in NY,” .”I’m coming out of retirement to retire you. Dana [White], please make it happen.”
Nov 4th is the date UFC 217 is scheduled for the Madison Square Garden in New York. This latest text from GSP seems to be the result of Dana White’s statement saying GSP will know face the winner of Tyrone Woodley and Demian Maia.
But it seems like The Count is also still interested in the fight against GSP as he issued a deadline to GSP on the monday episode of The MMA Hour , asking GSP to ‘ma up’ and fix the fight before Saturday night when the winner of Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker would join him at the desk of the FS1 show and if he couldn’t say he was fighting GSP by then,he would accept a fight with the man who won the interim middleweight title.
Well, let’s see what Bisping and Dana White have to say about meeting GSP’s date and venue.
