Boxing superstar Gervonta Davis entered into a plea agreement on four misdemeanour charges in relation to a hit-and-run accident that injured four persons, including a pregnant mother.
According to the judge, there is “no agreement of what penalty would be at sentence” with the plea. Davis’s plea agreement, which called for a one-year suspended sentence, two months of house arrest, and no jail time, was turned down five months ago.
According to reports, Davis admitted guilt to leaving the scene of a serious accident, failing to report property damage, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, and running a red light. He was first charged with 14 misdemeanors, each of which carried a potential jail term of one year, according to Bad Left Hook.

“On Nov. 5, 2020, around 2 a.m., Davis left a downtown club in Baltimore and drove a Lamborghini under a police escort, according to the prosecution. He then veered from the caravan and eventually ran a red light and struck the passenger side of a 2004 Toyota Solara. Davis was accused of fleeing the scene of an accident that involved four people, including pregnant woman Jyair Smith,” Per ESPN
Smith said Davis ignored her calls for help while she was trapped in the smoking car when she objected to his plea offer. Smith reportedly suffered a serious knee injury that will impair her for the rest of her life.
“I begged Mr. Gervonta Davis; I looked him in his eyes,” Jyair Smith said. “I said I have to get home to my daughter, I’m pregnant. He never once came over to help me. He got his things and left” the scene, she said. (Via ~ The Baltimore Banner)
