In the past couple of days, plenty has been said about Jon Jones’ failed drug tests. While many fans and pundits alike feel Jones is still guilty of doping and that he is exploiting the loopholes in the system, many others support him and feel that he is a clean athlete and is innocent. Top ranked light heavyweight contender and Jones’ former opponent Glover Teixeira has now stated that he believes Jones was tested enough before the fight against Gustafsson and that that even steroids would not affect a fight’s result that much.

Texeira was recently in a conversation with MMA on SiriusXM. Here’s what he had to say about Jones’ ever-present doping issues:

I don’t know if Jon Jones did steroids or not [but] I don’t know if it was going to change the results that much. I believe the fight with Daniel Cormier, you know could, steroids could help, if he was on steroids I don’t know.

I feel it is nothing to talk about. it is something that does not worry me.
