Greg Hardy, a former NFL defensive end and Pro Bowler as well as an ex-UFC heavyweight, has signed a deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

Having played primarily for Carolina Panthers throughout his NFL career, Greg Hardy turned coat to become a professional mixed martial artist and after his debut in June 2018 at Dana White’s Contender Series 9, made his UFC debut a year later against Allen Crowder at UFC Fight Night 143.

However, after three back to back losses and fighting out of his contract at the same time, Hardy parted ways with the UFC after his final Octagon appearance against Sergey Spivak at UFC 272 back in March.

I can’t wait to take the gloves off and rumble for BKFC: Greg Hardy

Earlier this month, Hardy confirmed that he was all set to make pro boxing debut in October, and has now also inked a deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Even though there is no word on his promotional debut, “Prince of War” says he is ready to rumble.

“I’m back and ready to knock everyone out in the baddest promotion there is,” said Hardy on joining BKFC, “Everyone knows I can knock people out, and that’s what I’m planning on doing. I can’t wait to take the gloves off and rumble for BKFC.”

David Feldman, the president of BKFC, also expressed excitement on landing Hardy into their growing roster, also adding that the details of his bare knuckle boxing debut will be made public very soon.

“I’m excited to start working with Greg,” said Feldman, “He’s a tremendous athlete with quickness and incredible strength, as he’s shown in the UFC and NFL. He wants to test himself in bareknuckle and has been training for a fight for the last couple of months. Heavyweight is one of our deepest divisions and his skill set fits right in. We’ll announce the date, location and his opponent shortly.” [H/T]
