Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos was supposed to fight Alexander Volkov at the CSAK Arena on November 9 in Moscow, Russia.
But the Brazilian heavyweight had to pull out of the card as he was hospitalised all week because of a bacterial infection in his leg. This resulted in UFC searching for replacements. Former Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy who fought last weekend at UFC Boston has stepped in to fight Volkov in the Russian’s home turf. The fight is less than three weeks away.
This fight is a huge step up in class for Hardy, who so far has been accused by the fans for fighting sub-par competition.
