Popular UFC fighter Nate Diaz had somewhat been semi-retired for the last three years and was on a really long sabbatical since fighting his bitter rival Conor McGregor in a rematch at UFC 202 back in 2016. However, he just returned back to the octagon against the former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis in a welterweight bout. Many fans and pundits alike believe that now that Diaz is a father, his approach towards fighting might have changed. However, Diaz shockingly revealed that he has been a father for many years now!
Diaz had become a father last year when on 20th of June 2018, his girlfriend gave birth to a baby girl. Since then many have speculated that this might make Diaz an even better fighter and might bring more calmness and maturity to his game.
Diaz defeated Pettis in the co-main event of UFC 241 via a dominant unanimous decision, due to his crisp boxing and high-pressure style of fighting.
During the post-event press conference for UFC 241, Diaz was asked whether his approach to fighting has changed or not after the birth of his daughter. Diaz hilariously replied that he has already been a father for years to ‘all kinds of lil motherf**kers’. Here’s what he had to say:
I have been a father for years. Fathering all kinds of these lil motherf**kers.
