Last year Irish MMA superstar Conor McGregor announced the launch of his whisky brand ‘Proper No. Twelve’ which is produced by McGregor’s own company Eire Born Spirits, which he is the founder, chairman and majority owner of the company.
Initially, the whiskey was supposed to be named Notorious but had to be changed following a trademark dispute. The firm said that the new Irish whiskey brand would be initially launched in Ireland and the US ahead of a wider international release next year.
The Whiskey was so hit back that it has smashed sales record. In McGregor’s native of Ireland, supermarket chain Tesco had to introduce a two bottle limit per customer.
The posters for the Whiskey were everywhere and even in the US, the drink was a massive hit and the ads were also placed in the Octagon during UFC 229, which turned out to be the biggest PPV card in the history of UFC.
Some fans even noticed that Conor McGregor was more involved in the promotion of the Whiskey than in the fight itself. But have you ever noticed that the truck which transports Conor McGregor’s Proper No. twelve whiskey has another guy in the poster along with McGregor?
One such fan noticed this and asked Conor McGregor this particular question and here’s what he replied:
Hello.
That man here is a fireman from New Jersey!
I arranged to meet a crew of first responders, from firemen to ambulance drivers, in an Irish bar in downtown New York one evening.
We toasted Proper Twelve while they told me some wild and heroic stories from their day jobs! https://t.co/BvHrB3KzeM— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) January 9, 2019

Whether you like Conor McGregor or not, you have to admit that it was a very sweet gesture from him.
