Current UFC Bantamweight champion T.J Dillashaw will move down in weight class to challenge UFC Flyweight champion Henry Cejudo at UFC 233 at the Honda Center in Anaheim on January 26, 2018.

Henry Cejudo beat former UFC pound-for-pound flyweight champion Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson at UFC 227 which took place in Los Angeles, California. On the same card in the main event, TJ Dillashaw successfully defended his bantamweight title in a rematch against Cody Garbrandt by knocking him out in the very first round. He won the title last year when he knocked out Cody in the second round at UFC 217.

Both of them appeared on Ariel Helwani’s MMA show and exchanged heated words:

The fight is a super fight to a lot of people. I am going to smash this guy. I am going to smash this guy,” said Cejudo on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show (H/T to BJPenn.com). “Him coming down an additional ten pounds, I gave him that option and he wants to come down. My only thing is, when I beat him, because I know I will beat him, I’ll put my purse on it. My whole thing is when I beat him they are going to hold the whole bantamweight division up again cause he will get his rematch but it will be at 135-pounds.

On January 26, I will cut the head of the snake forever and ever.

TJ Dillashaw had his own set of words and said UFC paid his a lit of money to kill the division.

They’re paying me a f—k load of money to move down and kill the 125-pound division and collect the second belt. So, it’s game time.

It’s gonna be better this way, anyway, because there’s no excuse,” Dillashaw said. “No excuses that I’m the bigger man, that I’m bigger when I’m fighting him. Because I’m gonna come down and make the weight.

I believe we’re on the same weight, anyways, I’m a small 135’er. I’ve got no problem making 125. It’s gonna be a little more work, I’m gonna be a little more dedicated and be in better shape.

I’m excited about the opportunity,” he added. “As I said, it’s a win-win for me. I’ll continue to grow my legacy, get another belt, and be the last flyweight champion ever.”
