Former two-division champion Henry Cejudo who retired in 2020 has now decided to re-enter the UFC’s USADA pool. Henry Cejudo last fought in the UFC in 2020. He defended his bantamweight title against former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. Henry Cejudo defeated Cruz by TKO in round 2 and announced his retirement. He is the fourth UFC fighter to hold titles in two different weight classes simultaneously, and the second to defend titles in two different weight divisions. Henry Cejudo is the only person to win an Olympic gold medal and a UFC title. Cejudo is considered one of the greatest combat athletes of all time due to his accomplishments in combat sports.

The news of Henry Cejudo re-entering was given out by the MMA analyst Chael Sonnen.

“I asked him point blank, ‘Henry for sure, are you coming back?’” Sonnen said on YouTube. “He said ‘Chael, I’m in the USADA pool, I’m training twice a day, I’m ready to go. I want Volkanovski.’ I said ‘I know you want Volkanovski but Volkanovski’s already got an opponent and it’s not you, so are you willing to get in there?’ And that’s where it was hard to get an answer. He for sure was willing to tell me that after he beats Volkanovski, he’s going to stick around and defend the belt for a few years. He was also very confident to tell me if he lost to Volkanovski, he’s going to stick around and take on the contenders then.”
