Former two-division champion Henry Cejudo has recently called out the current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. Henry Cejudo has asked UFC President Dana White to give him the title shot opportunity to fight Alex. The dispute between Alexander and Henry started after Alex’s last fight against Brian Ortega which he won via decision. After the fight, Henry made some comments about it on Twitter to which Alexander responded, and then the back and forth quarrel between the two began. Henry in his tweet made fun of Alex’s size and compared him to Matt Serra.
‘The real Alexander the Great took over the World at 20…you almost got choked out by a Modelo model. I’m coming for you Fun Sized Matt Serra!”

Alexander took the tweets from Henry well but he was also ready to fight Henry if the fight presents itself.
“He’s just going to say whatever he wants,” he said. “Once someone has a bit of shine, he usually tries to steal it by saying something, so I guess that’s a good thing.”
“He’s always chirping,” Volkanovski said. “He’s chirping about everyone. Obviously we’ll see what they do, but my bet on it’s not going to happen. I don’t even think Dana White answers his calls. That’s why he’s going to go and just keep calling people out, but nothing’s ever on paper, because I don’t think they take him seriously.”
“Of course he doesn’t deserve it,” Volkanovski said later. “I respect him, and he’s done great things in his divisions, but this is featherweight, a whole different killer fish, especially with him being a flyweight. We’ve got a bunch of killers, and why should he just step in front of them? That wouldn’t be fair.”
Henry Cejudo says he will knock out Alexander Volkanovski
Henry Cejudo in his recent interview stated that he is willing to come out of retirement just to fight Alex at featherweight and he wants Dana White to give him the featherweight title fight.
“Not only do I believe that I can beat him, I know I can stop him. As much as I saw good things from Volkanovski, there are still a lot of holes. I believe my height would be problem for him, because he is a couple inches taller than me. My speed, my wrestling, my experience, I’ve been in there against the best. Okay, Alexander the Average had a great performance, it was a great fight, I just believe that I have the “It” factor to beat this dude. Not only to beat this dude, but to stop him,” Henry Cejudo said.
“Allow me to make history. If he’s that good, allow him to shut me up. Dana White, if you’re listening, this is a real message. Forget the cringe, forget the persona, this is straight up me. I am the greatest combat athlete of all time and I promise you, if you give me the opportunity, I will knock this dude out in no less than three rounds.”
