Henry Cejudo, a former UFC dual-weight champion, predicts that Jon Jones will be dominant upon his return at UFC 285.

In UFC 285, “Bones” is scheduled to make his octagon comeback against Ciryl Gane. The former champion’s first match in more than three years will take place. In his most recent fight, Jones defeated Dominick Reyes by controversial unanimous decision in February 2020.

Even yet, the former champion’s comeback has been a long time coming. For years, Jones has teased a heavyweight move, and he took his time getting in shape. To be ready for the transfer, he has added some obvious muscle, but that is not all he has done.

One of Henry Cejudo’s more well-known students right now is Jon Jones. ‘Triple C,’ a former champion himself, is now regarded as one of the best trainers at Fight Ready in Arizona. In the short time he’s been a coach, he’s already helped athletes like Deiveson Figueiredo and Weili Zhang win championships.

Henry Cejudo discussed the return of “Bones” in a video that was posted to his YouTube account. There, he predicted Ciryl Gane would be dispatched by stoppage in the first three rounds by the previous champion.

Henry Cejudo on Jon Jones’ return

I do believe in my heart that Jon Jones will not only going to beat Ciryl Gane, he’s either going to submit him, or he’s going to stop him. I don’t think this fight goes past three rounds, I think there’s a new Jon Jones,” stated Henry Cejudo in the video recently published to his YouTube channel. “He beats Ciryl Gane, he’s in the top three, maybe top two [of Pound-For-Pound]. If he stops Ciryl Gane, Jon Jones should and will always remain ranked No. 1. Why do I say that? Because of his resume.”

He continued, “He’s unblemished. Look what he’s done in combat sports. He’s going to go up to the heaviest division in the UFC, which is the heavyweight division, and [can] now reclaim the biggest and nastiest title of them all.” (H/T – BJPenn.com)
