Max Holloway finally broke his silence after his much disappointing removal from the co main event of UFC 226 following concussion like symptoms.
Holloway addressed everyone who had wished him the best during the tough phase of past 2 or 3 days.
He began by sending out an optimistic message to all fight fans stating about how the fight was far from over and thanked Dana White for prioritising fighter’s health above everything.
It was what it was. Respect to Ortega and his team. Thank you @danawhite and the @UFC staff for making my health priority. Also thank you to @lilheathenmma and @frankieedgar for being about that champ life and stepping up. I see you. To all the fans I know this rollercoaster can pic.twitter.com/I094Gv74CK

be frustrating because my team is also on it with you. All I can say is I’m truly sorry and I hope you guys stay buckled in because it is far from being over. Don’t let the bad surprises distract you from the good surprises in this great sport. The best is still blessed.

The 145 pound champ then thanked his 155 pound counterpart for understanding the situation and credited his entire team of being ‘champions’.
Thank you my brother. I know you know what it is because your whole team is champions. Peace be with you https://t.co/WEtHgunoh3

Max, then, wished for something that MMA fans around the globe have been desperately waiting for, the return of “The Notorious One”.
Thank you champ champ. One of the best minds in this game said we win or learn. This is learning for me. Hope to see you back brother 🇨🇮🤙🏻 https://t.co/qdj9IbZDPg

Holloway, at last, expressed his gratitude for Michael Bisping, who during an interview was among the first people to point out that there was something wrong with “Blessed”.
