Jose Aldo turned the clock back today at UFC Fortaleza by defeating upcoming prospect Renato Moicano. In the very first minute of the second round of the fight, Aldo landed some strikes that stunned Moicano. He followed it up with a flurry of punches eventually forcing the referee to intervene.
The fight propelled the inaugural UFC featherweight champ to the top of the list of fighters having most wins in the division.
Fighting on his home turf, Aldo was the quintessential crowd favourite, despite the fact that his opponent was also a Brazilian. And Aldo didn’t disappoint his fans either. After the victory, he jumped over the Octagon and went straight between the fans.
