Bellator 220 is finally in the books now and what an amazing event it turned out to be! The fight card had some big name fighters such as the Bellator welterweight champion Rory MacDonald, Benson Henderson, Ilima-Lei Macfarlane, Phil Davis and some even more exciting and thrilling match-ups and two title defenses. However, it still managed to exceed everyone’s expectations. In the co-main event of this amazing fight card, the Bellator women’s flyweight champion Macfarlane defended her title against Veta Arteaga. She won the fight in dominant fashion via TKO due to the doctor’s stoppage.

Macfarlane used her grappling skills to take Arteaga down and then beat her down with some brutal ground and pound dishing out razor sharp elbows and opening a massive cut on Arteaga’s forehead.
It was this cut which later got the doctor’s intervention and got the fight stopped.

The elbow was so vicious and brutal that it exposed Arteaga’s skull.
