UFC has offered Impa Kasangany a contract after he emerged victorious in Dana White’s contender series on Tuesday and within two days – UFC has given him the chance to battle Maki Pitolo at the up and coming Aug. 22 occasion.
White said: “He’s going to battle Pitolo, Maki Pitolo, from the Contender (Series), as well.“
White had previously implied that they already had a battle for Kasanganay in place when he granted the agreement to the fighter on the show. Be that as it may, in the post-battle news gathering, White revealed the specifics of the match.

Impa secures a fight just 11 days after signing the contract

Impa’s record currently stands at an impressive 7-0. The card on Aug 22 will be headlined by Frankie Edgar and Pedro Munhoz of the bantamweight division.
“Impa, it was his second time here. The kid’s an athlete, 26 years old coming into his prime. I think he has potential. There’s questions. Apparently he’s agreed to fight August 22 on the [Frankie] Edgar vs [Pedro] Munhoz card, so he can answer my questions then. Welcome to the UFC.”
The middleweight prospect from America dominated the match against his opponent Adams which saw him earn a unanimous decision win. Many fans of the MMA community believed that he deserved a contract for his display of skills on the show last season. The 26-year old had made a statement previously saying “the only time winning hurt”.
UFC president White had a few reservations this time around, yet said he was feeling liberal in the wake of coming back from a truly necessary occasion, and offered agreements to each of the five winning fighters.

“I’ve already had phone calls from people I don’t know, thank you.”
