In a tense confrontation with Leonardo Perdomo prior to their fight on Thursday, BKFC fighter Steve Herelius tried to use the weigh-in scale as a weapon.
As is well known, bare-knuckle boxing has always been a rather odd idea for many people to understand. Although it has a lengthy history and timeframe, it hasn’t been incorporated into contemporary combat sports for a while. Naturally, it was before BKFC had a significant impact on the market a few years ago.
Now, BKFC is one of the most notable combat sports brands in the non-boxing realm. Yes, we have the likes of UFC, PFL and ONE Championship, but from a non-MMA perspective, BKFC is up there with the best of them. From high-profile names competing to Conor McGregor owning a stake in the company, it’s not surprising to see it flourishing.
Tonight, we’ll see a BKFC Fight Night card take place in Hollywood. During the weigh-ins for that event, the aforementioned Steve Herelius and Leonardo Perdomo got into a pretty wild altercation.
Fighters at BKFC get crazy
After appearing to be friendly at first, things gradually spiraled out of control. Before we knew it, a scale was being used, and the two men had ended up flinging their hands at each other. Security at BKFC tried to keep them apart, but as the video shows, they still had a great time performing together. We will now have to wait and watch if their sanctioned, real fight lives up to the anticipation.
