Two of the biggest names in Indian MMA, Chaitanya Gavali and Kantharaj Agasa are set to lock horns in a BJJ super-fight in November.
The event, which will be organised by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Sports Federation of India, will be held in Bangalore along with the Bangalore Open. The federation is under the Asian Sports Jiu-Jitsu Federation (ASJJIF) and the super fight between Chaitanya and Kantharaj thus will be overlooked by Edison Kagohara, the president of ASJJIF.
The organisers are yet to decide the rules under which the fight will take place and will reveal the same in the coming days.
Apart from this fight, organizers are planning to have three more super fights on the card according to Shiv Chowdhury. Two of these fights will feature men while one will feature women. A string of interesting names is being thrown around as potential competitors. Title belts will also be up for grabs during these fights.
The federation is also planning to host the BJJ Asian Championships in India next year.
