The Indian flag flew high at ONE championship once again after Himanshu Kaushik secured a huge win at ONE: Hero’s Ascent.
Himanshu, who faced off against Egi Rozten at the event, managed to secure a first-round TKO victory via ground and pound. The first round finish comes out as an impressive addition to the resume of Himanshu who now holds a professional record of 4-3 to his name.

This is his first victory inside the ONE championship cage in three fights. Earlier, he had suffered defeats to Stefer Rahardian and Dejdamrong Amnuaysirich. Prior to his entry into ONE Championship, Himanshu had fought in the Super Fight League as well.
Himanshu’s win at ONE: Hero’s Ascent gives Indian MMA fans another reason to be happy about after Puja Tomar’s split decision victory over Priscilla Goal at ONE Championship: Eternal Glory last week.
It was Puja’s first victory inside the ONE championship cage as well. The Indian MMA fighters seem to be finding their place in ONE championship lately as Rajinder Singh Meena had also secured his first win in the promotion last year.
It would be interesting to see what lies next for these three fighters.
