Indian MMA star Nelson Paes suffered a defeat in his outing at Phoenix 6 last week. The Goa-based Paes, who came into the Phoenix 6 card as a last minute replacement for Ahmed Faress, went up against Chabane Chaibeddra at the event.

After a tough fought first round, Chabane managed to get a TKO stoppage in the second round and secured the win.
With the win, Chabane improved his professional record to 11-4. He is also on a four-fight undefeated streak at the moment.
As for Nelson, this is his second straight defeat as he had suffered a shocking defeat against Fazal Rabi at the Yoddha Fighting Championship event which was held last year.
However, Nelson had picked up the fight on short notice and also had to cut down 10 KGs in 12 days to compete. As mentioned earlier, it was former Brave Combat Federation fighter Ahmed Faress that was scheduled to fight Chabane.
