Titled Rebel FC 8, the event is set to take place on May 30, 2018, at Guangzhou, China.

Talking exclusively to the MMA India Show, Yadwinder noted that he got the opportunity to fight at Rebel Fighting Championship through his friend.

Yadwinder Singh: One of my friends helped me to get in touch with Rebel FC. The organization then saw my previous record and offered me a fight.  My opponent is Chen Rui, he is an undisputed (5-0) and one of the top MMA fighter from China. When I heard about him I was extremely happy and excited to accept this fight offer. I am sure it is going to be a very positive experience.

Yadwinder’s last fight came back at the World Series of Fighting Global Championship at the Philippines where he suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Uloomi Karim Shaheen of Pakistan. Prior to this Yadwinder had secured huge wins over Alex Schild of the United States and Marc Guyon of France.

The Big Return

He went on to note that it is a very important fight to him considering his two-year layoff.

Yadwinder Singh: I am fighting after two years and therefore this fight is extremely important and I have put my best efforts. Most of my training is going on at my Akhada and at lions MMA Punjab. I also trained at Phuket top team for this fight.

Fortunately, Yadwinder has managed to land a few sponsors as well who will be helping him out with the whole camp.

Yadwinder Singh: My training was sponsored by Phuket top team. I also got equipment sponsorship from USI.  Mr Anurag Chaddha  sponsored my supplements for this fight camp. I am extremely grateful to all of them for their support. Their help has definitely boosted my training camp.

While concluding the interview, he also thanked all the fans and his well-wishers for supporting him.

Yadwinder Singh: To my fans I would like to say thanks for believing in me and always supporting me. I get a lot of messages from my fans and it really helps me to train harder and stay positive. I would like to thank each and everyone of my fans and friends for their kind encouraging words. I have always believed that hardwork never goes unrewarded regardless of your circumstances. I would also like to thank my Coaches, my family and my friends who always support me.

Rebel FC 8 will be headlined by Marcelo Tenorio and Wenbo Liu while Sai Wang and Konstantin Linnik will co-headline the event.
