Indian MMA star Yadwinder Singh suffered a defeat at Rebel Fighting championship last day. Yadwinder fought Chinese veteran Chen Rui in a Bantamweight contest at the event and was stopped in the third round through punches.

Despite the defeat, there were a lot of huge takeaways for Yadwinder as this was his return fight after a long break of two years. Chen Rui improved his record to 6-0 and remained undefeated with the win. Yadwinder, meanwhile, drops to 5-2.

Earlier, Yadwinder had revealed that he got the fight through one of this friends and was looking forward to a positive experience irrespective of the result.

Other results

Elsewhere, in the main event of the night, Wang Sai of China defeated Konstantin Linnik via a first-round submission. In the co-main event, Liu Wenbo defeated Marcelo Tenorio through a split decision.
