India’s contingent at the World MMA Championships from 10th to 16th November

The IMMAF | WMMAA World Amateur MMA Championships is all set to take place from 10th November in Manama, Bahrain as part of BRAVE International Combat Week. The championship will end on November 16.

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation’s 2019 Senior and Junior World Championship tournaments will take place at Khalifa Sports City and this mega event will be hosted by the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation under the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

Team India will also be participating for the upcoming event and here’s the detailed list of Senior and Junior fighters:

Senior Fighters:

Surbala Devi Laishram – Women’s Atomweight 47.6 kg (105 lbs)
Mahboob Khan Mohammed – Men’s Strawweight 52.2 kg (115 lbs)
Dinesh Naorem – Men’s Flyweight 56.7 kg (125 lbs)
Jishal Parmar – Women’s Bantamweight 61.2 kg (135 lbs)
Karan Nitin Chauhan – Men’s Featherweight 65.8 kg (145 lbs)
Athul D Hotker – Men’s Lightweight 70.3 kg (155 lbs)
Balakrishna Satyaprasad Patange – Men’s Welterweight 77.1 kg (170 lbs)
Vaibhav Vaman Shetty – Men’s Middleweight 83.9 kg (185 lbs)

Junior Fighters:

Arjun Pundir – Men’s Jr Strawweight 52.2 kg (115 lbs)
Akash Paulkar – Men’s Jr Strawweight 52.2 kg (115 lbs)

The World Championships will feature a total of 339 Seniors and 125 Juniors, with a total of 364 athletes competing from 49 nations. The fight will be streamed live on IMMAF.TV
