Bellator 219 is officially scheduled to take place by the end of this month, i.e. on 29th of March, 2019 at Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California. The event was initially till this very morning supposed to be headlined by a welterweight fight between Andrey Koreshkov and Lorenz Larkin. However, Larkin has now pulled out due to an injury and their fight has been scraped off.
Koreshkov is a veteran of Bellator MMA and has fighting for the organisation for about seven years now. While Larkin on the other hand is a veteran of both the UFC as well as of the now defunct Strikeforce MMA.
The reason behind Larkin pulling out still has not officially been revealed, but MMA Fighting has reported that he has pulled out due to an undisclosed injury.
The new main event for the Bellator 219 event is now a lightweight bout between Saad Awad and Brandon Girtz.
