UFC 247 featured an interesting light heavyweight title bout as pound-for-pound #1 champion Jon Jones defeated previously undefeated Dominick Reyes via a controversial unanimous decision.

The fight was definitely close and could have went either way. However many people from the MMA community including President Dana White believed Reyes had done enough to get the job done. One man however had a close eye on the main event. Jones’ current arch rival and middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.

‘The Last Stylebender’ didn’t waste any time to weigh in on the controversial decision. Adesanya immediately took to Twitter to mock Jones. He only had a one-word tweet and a gif to articulate his thoughts. (via Twitter):

To add up to the controversy was a judge scoring all four rounds for Jones however that certainly didn’t seem to be the case. Apparently the same judge was instrumental in giving two controversial decisions earlier in the night. According to commentator Joe Rogan, one of the judges wasn’t even looking at the prelim fight between Lauren Murphy and Andrea Lee.

Adesanya and Jones have been going back and forth on social media since a while. The duo are definitely setting up for a super fight in near future. Adesanya however wants to build up towards fighting Jones. He takes on multiple time title challenger Yoel Romero at UFC 248 next month.

The only problem in materializing the fight is Adesanya being too small for the light heavyweight limit of 205 pounds. However Adesanya believes his elite kickboxing skills and techniques will prevail over size disadvantage.
