The beef between UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon.

Both fighters have been trading words back and forth at each other for months now. Adesanya appeared last night at Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, where he said that he is willing to fight Jon Jones at 205lbs under the condition that Jones fight him first at middleweight.

If he wants to fight me right now, come see me at 185 [pounds, the middleweight limit],” Adesanya said. “I’ll let him jump the queue, cuz he’s the champ at that weight class.”

This is my new belt, it’s 185,” Adesanya said. “I’m the champ at that weight class and I already have a plan to clean out the division, like he has done in his division.

But he hasn’t moved up in weight. I’ve done it in boxing, I’ve done it in kickboxing, I’ll do it in MMA eventually.” (h/t-ESPN.com)

Jon Jones has fought at light heavyweight division his whole career. He is coming off of a close split decision win over Thiago Santos at UFC 238 in July. The fight took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. On the other hand, Israel Adesanya is coming off of a KO win over Robert Whittaker at UFC 243 earlier this month in Melbourne, Australia.
