UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has reacted to Jon Jones getting arrested. Jon Jones recently came to Las Vegas for the Hall Of Fame ceremony of the UFC. The day after the event Jon Jones was arrested by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on charges of a misdemeanour, battery, domestic violence and felony tampering with a vehicle. Jon Jones was later released from custody on the same day. As many MMA Fans and fighters gave their viewpoint on this incident, Jones’s social media rival Adesanya also had few things to say about him.
Israel Adesanya posted a tweet on Twitter and shared his thought on Jon Jones’s arrest. He stated that even after the MMA community giving many chances to Jones he still messes it up and finds himself in trouble again.
I’m sure y’all will give him “one more chance” lol. I swear I said he’s gonna fuck up again, he can’t help it. Now here we are. I’ve made mistakes in my time, I learn from them. I don’t think this is the first time this has happened in his house. But yea…posi vibez goiz 🌻✨ pic.twitter.com/i6i3N6O3s3

Israel Adesanya on his fight Jones
Israel and Jones are often linked against each other. Last year there were rumours about a potential fight between them. But after Adesanya moved up to the light-heavyweight division to fight Jan Blachowicz and lost the fight via decision, his potential fight with Jones also fell in jeopardy. Jones commented on the fight saying Adesanya doesn’t have a chance against him and the dream fight talks are now over.
But Israel Adesanya still feels that he has a chance to fight Jones in the future.
“The story’s not told yet, Ariel,” Adesanya told host Ariel Helwani at The MMA Hour. “The story’s still out there.”
“I don’t think we’re ever going to see Jon Jones fight at heavyweight,” Adesanya said. “F*ck, he’s been saying this since 2013. You either get it done or you don’t.”
“For me, I jumped up [a division] within three years of [being with] the company,” Adesanya said. “I jumped into the division ahead of me. The guys up there respect me — even the champion up there gave me my props. So yeah, I just think it’s not something that anyone can do. And he’s getting fat for no reason now.”
When asked about his dream fight with Jon Jones, Israel seemed pretty confident about it.
“I see it. I see it 100 percent,” Adesanya said. “But that’s the thing. You’ve got to know when to hold them, you’ve got to know when to fold them, and the song is not over yet. So stay tuned. We’ll fight one day. I don’t know where or how it’s going to happen. I just have an idea of what’s going to happen. But yeah, see if he moves up in weight first. See if he moves up in weight first and deals with these guys there. I think he can, but does he think he can?”
