UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has taunted former UFC light-heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, on the occasion of valentine’s day as he posted a post regarding Jones. Israel Adesanya defended his middleweight title against Robert Whittaker at UFC 271. This was his fourth title defence. Israel Adesanya fought Robert Whittaker in a rematch at UFC 271 as he had previously defeated Robert at UFC 243 via KO to win the middleweight championship. Israel Adesanya at the moment is the no.3 ranked pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC and now is left with few challengers. One of the dream matchups for Israel Adesanya is a former light-heavyweight champion, Jon Jones. The fight would be one of the most intriguing matchups of all time and both of them have been interested in this fight.
Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya both keep taking shots at each other on social media and keep calling each other out. Now on the day of valentine, Israel Adesanya has shared a post on his social media in which he is wishing Jones a happy valentine’s but in a sarcastic manner.

“Happy Valentine’s Day 💖💕 It’s the thought that counts xo.” – Adesanya captioned the photo.
The reference to the caption of the photo was related to Jon Jones’s previous physical abuse case. Jon Jones was arrested last year for physical abuse of his fiance and then released. The case was recently closed and all the charges on Jones were taken off.
Jon Jones is now preparing for his heavyweight debut in the UFC. Jon Jones last fought in 2020 when he defeated Dominick Reyes and defended his lightweight title. Jon Jones then had a dispute with UFC President Dana White over a pay issue in May 2020, Jones then vacated the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship and stated that he will be moving up to the heavyweight division to fight for the title. He has now shown interest in fighting Stipe Miocic and wants that fight to be his debut matchup.
The greatest heavyweight of all time versus the greatest light heavyweight, who wants to see it? I’m game

“The greatest heavyweight of all time versus the greatest light heavyweight, who wants to see it? I’m game”
Stipe Miocic in his last talk had said that he wants to fight Jon Jones.
“I’m down,” Miocic said about fighting Jones. “I don’t think he wanted it. I don’t know the whole story but I’m down. Then he wants a title shot. I know he’s done well, he’s probably one of the greatest of all time but you’ve still got to wait for your order. That’s like me going to light heavyweight and being like I want a shot.”
On the other hand, Israel Adesanya is already linked to fighting his next challenger who is going to be Jared Cannonier.
