The beef between UFC interim middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is getting intense with each passing day.

In the most recent case, Israel Adesanya appeared on Ariel Helwani’s MMA show where he was asked about Jon Jones’ recent split-decision victory over Thiago Santos at UFC 232 and deemed his performance as “Meh”.

I’ll tell you one thing, I saw him after he weighed in, he started to shake them cakes, that’s nothing. He’s light in the a**. Look at him, he looks like a f***ing Dorito with chopsticks or toothpicks for legs, and he’s calling me skinny. The last time someone called me skinny, when I crouched in front of them I said let’s go, I’ll show you skinny, and I used my f***ing toothpicks, my chopsticks to crack him in the head. I saw him live. I’ve seen him [Jones], he doesn’t have it. He was great when he was fighting and there wasn’t USADA around, but now, my man need to get back on the picograms if he wants to be great again.” Israel Adesanya said about Jon Jones.

Jon Jones didn’t take the comments very well and he took to Twitter to fire back at the interim middleweight champion.

Style bender was asked a question about me and the first thing he could think of was my cakes at weigh-ins. Then went on to talk about how I’m built like a dorito with chopsticks. No comment needed.” Jones tweeted.

Then he tweeted again when someone asked him about the similarity in Physique between him and Adesanya.

Similar physique, I can see it. Please don’t compare him to me when it comes to anything in between the ears.”

And if you’re confused, I’m talking face and brain.”
