Imagine Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo getting arrested again and again or a Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Roger Federer or Sachin Tendulkar’s mugshot being released multiple times on different occasions for different crimes. It just does not happen! However, not in MMA. While the sport has been for years trying really hard to earn more and more credibility among mainstream media globally, one of the sports’ biggest stars and arguable GOAT Jon Jones just cannot stay out of trouble. Jones was again recently arrested and that sent Twitter to an absolute frenzy and the current UFC middleweight champion Israel The Last Stylebender Adesanya too could not stop himself from taking social media digs on Jones over Twitter.
Jones got himself arrested on the night of 25th March by the Albuquerque Police Department. According to certain police reports, the city’s PD responded to a shots fired call. When they arrived on the scene they found Jones in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, appearing to be intoxicated. Jones then failed a field sobriety test and also twice failed a breathalyzer test.
Adesanya took to Twitter ever since the news of Jones’ arrest broke out. He posted a barrage of tweets aimed towards the youngest UFC champion of all time, i.e. Jones. Below is the series of tweets that he made:

Albuquerque Police Department officer who arrested Jones, Officer Jason Brown had this to say on Jones’ arrest, “On 3-26-20 at about (12:58 a.m.), I was at 3rd and Central in the parking lot. I heard a single gun shot to the west on Central. I drove west on Central and observed a black jeep on the south side of the street parked in front of 312 Central. I observed a male in the driver’s seat and a subject on the sidewalk by the passenger side door. I observed no other subjects in the area. I pulled up behind the vehicle and turned on my overhead lights. The vehicle was running. I contacted the driver and asked him the roll down the vehicle windows. I observed an open bottle of alcohol on the floor behind the passenger seat. It was a 1⁄4 full bottle of Recuerdo, 40-percent alcohol. I asked the driver to hand me the bottle. I also observed he had green, leafy substance on his shirt and pants, consistent with marijuana. I identified the driver as Jonathan Jones. I asked Jones about the gun shot and he stated he did not know.”
