The first UFC fighter of Indian descent Arjan Singh Bhullar is on a mission. The Canadian wrestling Olympian and UFC heavyweight wants to make his ancestor’s country India proud by winning the world championship in the UFC.
Bhullar who has been a pretty vocal representative of India through his social media handles with hashtags such as ‘One Billion Strong’ and has also walked out to the Octagon while wearing a Turban which is a sign of a warrior in his religion, Sikhism. Bhullar also visited India to encourage Indian MMA by visiting a tournament in Mumbai in October 2017.
In American Kickboxing Academy, Arjan Singh Bhullar joins a long list of elite wrestlers who have made the famous gym their home such as Daniel Cormier, Cain Velasquez, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Josh Koscheck and Jon Fitch in the past. Cormier and Cain in particular have inspired Arjan with their dedication and work ethic to follow their path at the highest levels of the sport.

It is heartening to see that despite all three of these fighters being in the same weight class, there is no rivalry between them and that they all encourage and look to each other for inspiration.
Arjan Singh Bhullar will be returning to action against Marcelo Golm on October 27, in his home country Canada.
