UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is on his way to get back in shape for his return to the Octagon. After his injury last year, he is facing the irk of a lot of fans who want him to vacate the title. However, UFC went ahead to go the Interim champion route.
In a recent post, Jones talks about the treatment UFC is giving him. He said, “No, I think it’s great to see the UFC showing such a level of respect to their champion athletes. I’ve dedicated my entire adult life to the sport, I think I’m allowed to get hurt once. This injury was supposed to take up to a year to heal, but I’m already back in pre-camp, I’m committed to progression.”

When Will Jon Jones Return to the UFC?
Jon Jones recently broke his silence, revealing that negotiations for his return were underway with a tentative date and verbal agreement in place.
In response to a fan’s tweet asking about his return, Jones hinted that he knew the timeline for his comeback but preferred to let UFC boss Dana White announce the details. “I have a date, I’ll let boss man Dana announce that,” Jones replied.
Who Will Jon Jones Fight Next?
The big question ahead of Jones’ return is, “Who will he fight?”. Despite Tom Aspinall’s interim champion status and readiness to fight, Jones has shown reluctance towards a potential matchup with the British fighter. Instead, he has emphasized his desire for a showdown with Stipe Miocic.
Miocic, the former UFC heavyweight champion, was originally slated to face Jones in a highly anticipated bout last November. But the fight was called off because of Jones’ injury
