UFC middleweight contender Jack Hermansson has been on a terrific performance streak. He is currently riding on a four-fight winning streak, with his last two victories coming against Ronaldo Souza and David Branch.
Now, for his next fight, Hermansson wants to fight a top calibre opponent and he has just the name in mind. He also has the venue and date in mind. He said he wants to fight Kelvin Gastelum and headline UFC Copenhagen card on Sept. 28. UFC announced earlier this month that they will be hosting their first ever event in Denmark.
“The only person ranked ahead of me that’s available is Kelvin Gastelum so that’s who I want to fight,” Hermansson said. “Kelvin Gastelum, the main event (in) Copenhagen in September. That would be something.”
He predicted that he will stop Gastelum in the first round itself.
“Of course (I would win in) the first round,” Hermansson said. “Ground-and-pound or the guillotine, for sure.”
Meanwhile, Gastelum had an epic five-rounds of war with Israel Adesanya at UFC 236 in Atlanta. Although he fell short, it was one of the best fights in the UFC.
Who do you guys think wins this fight between Gastelum and Hermansson if it gets made?
