Former UFC Double Champion Conor McGregor has been in the long list of targets of Jake Paul. The YouTube sensation has now fired back back at the idea of taking on the Irishman in a fight.

It’s worth noting that ‘The Notorious’ had never been interested in taking on social media stars. However, but he recently teased the fans with the prospect of facing popular celebrity boxers, including Jake Paul and KSI, during an interview with Sneak Peek. He said:

“The YouTuber nerds… I would consider that a nixer… If I was to pick one out, KSI has a big name in the UK. The Pauls? That Tyson fight is just a strange one to me. I hope Tyson takes his nose off, and you never know I’m sure at some stage, we will go through all of these guys.”

Jake Paul fires back at Conor McGregor

The remarks from Conor McGregor didn’t sit well with ‘The Problem Child’ and in a now-deleted post, Jake Paul took to X to slam the UFC megastar, posting the picture of a McGregor look-alike with the caption:

“Conor, you fell off. Get some help man, and then get back in [the] cage to try and finish that contract. Then say my name. Until then, you know you don’t control a damn thing to do with your fights.”

Conor McGregor could return soon

Conor McGregor faced a significant setback in July 2021 when he suffered a broken leg during his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The injury raised doubts about his competitive future, leaving fans wondering if they’d witness the return of the notorious “Notorious.”

However, McGregor’s dropped updates which provide hope. He has been cleared to resume boxing training, signaling progress in his recovery. The once-doubtful return now seems imminent.

The Irishman aims to be back in sparring by April, eyeing a potential return during the UFC’s annual International Fight Week on July 2 in Las Vegas.

Despite back-to-back defeats against Poirier in 2021, McGregor remains a force. He demands respect for his multifaceted fighting style—ground game, shots, elbows, and kicks. As the UFC fans awaits his return, McGregor’s aura continues to captivate fans and fighters alike
