Celebrity Boxer Jake Paul has always been interested in fighting UFC star Conor Mcgregor but now he feels like he has lost interest in that fight but still wants to beat up Conor.
The rivalry between the Youtuber boxing community and the MMA community was heated by the back and forth social media battler between Jake Paul and Conor Mcgregor. The duo has had many social media battles where they took personal shots at each other. Though the duo has never crossed paths they both still are on each other’s radar.
Jake Paul has always shown interest in fighting Conor Mcgregor and that to specifically in boxing matches where he feels he has the edge over Mcgregor in boxing. But since then Conor Mcgregor has faced a downfall in his fighting career as he lost the last 2 UFC fights against his rival Dustin Poirier. After his performance, his boxing rivals like Floyd, Manny, and now Jake Paul revealed that he has no interest in fighting him.
Jake Paul wants to beat up Conor Mcgregor
Jake Paul recently said that after watching Conor’s latest performance he has no interest left in fighting Conor But still wants to face him as he will get the opportunity to beat up Mcgregor.
In an interview with MMAFighting.com Jake said, “He’s sort of lost that spunk and I think people are kind of second-guessing him. He’s not the same Conor, that’s for sure. It’s not as interesting, however, I would still just like to beat him up. Because I would want him to freak out in the ring and go crazy and lose his sh*t. I think it would be funny to see him break down like how he did against Dustin Poirier. And by the way, it’s still a massive fight,” Paul said.
“Regardless of what anybody wants to say about Conor, you have to respect him for what he’s done, becoming the face of the fight game. I don’t hate the guy. Do I like him? No but you have to respect him. All I’ve said though is I want to fight him and knock him out. Because A) it would be a big fight, big business and B) give the people what they want. That’s one of the most talked about fights to happen in the past year. I think it still makes sense regardless if he’s winning or losing, people want to see that.”
Jake is now getting ready for his boxing match against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley under the Showtime banner on August 29 in Cleveland.
