The Youtuber celebrity and newest Boxing sensation Jake Paul has praised the boxing skill of Anderson Silva and also stated that MMA fighters are great boxers.

Anderson Silva is one of the best mixed martial arts fighters on the planet. He has several accolades to his name in the sport of MMA. He is known for his 16-fight winning streak in MMA and also his legendary reign at the UFC’s middleweight division. But after he passed his prime he faced a huge downfall in his career. After he lost his last fight against Uriah Hall in the UFC he announced that he has parted ways from the promotion.

In March 2021, it was announced that Anderson Silva would continue his combat sports career in boxing against Julio César Chávez Jr. Silva won the fight via split decision. Silva was the busier fighter throughout the fight throwing a total of 392 punches versus Chávez Jr’s 153. He was an underdog coming into the fight but he proved his worth as a fighter and won the fight by defeating all odds.

Jake Paul praises Anderson Silva

If one name has taken the world of combat sports by storm then it is the Paul brothers. And specifically the younger Paul, Jake Paul. He is 3-0 in his boxing career and is coming off a brutal knockout win over world-renown MMA fighter Ben Askren. He is often criticized for winning fights against less skilled fighters but he is now preparing to fight former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in a boxing match. Woodley is feared for his striking and vicious knockout power so it will be a huge test for Jake Paul to get past him.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Jake Paul praised Silva for his win against Chavez Jr., and he also stated that this victory of Silva shows that MMA fighters are amazing boxers too.

“Anderson’s 46 years old, and I thought he did an incredible job, man. He was sticking and moving, bouncing around the ring, having fun, was throwing combos. He’s long and lanky and to come in there and beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., who’s what, over 50 wins in the ring, is a world champion — this just goes to show that MMA strikers are also great boxers, and I think a lot of people forget that. That is the first skill that MMA fighters learn if they’re going to learn how to fight, is boxing. So I thought he looked amazing,” Paul said.
